By downloading, installing, or using the Travel Eat mobile application ("App") or visiting our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.

Description of Service

Travel Eat helps travelers understand restaurant menus in foreign languages. Our services include:

Menu scanning via camera or photo library
AI-powered dish recognition, description, and translation
Allergen identification for recognized dishes
Dish image search to help visualize menu items
Nearby restaurant discovery and public menu browsing
Scan history

User Accounts

Some features require creating an account. New accounts receive a one-time bonus of free scans. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Free Scans and Purchases

Travel Eat offers both free and paid features:

Free tier: A limited number of complimentary menu scans per day (reset daily at midnight, do not accumulate)
Scan packs: Purchase additional scans as a one-time purchase — purchased scans do not expire
Pro subscription: Weekly, monthly, or yearly plans with unlimited scans, full history, and custom allergen tracking

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Refer to the respective app store terms for billing, cancellation, and refund policies.

Accuracy Disclaimer

Important: While we strive for accuracy, Travel Eat cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of dish recognition, translations, or allergen information. AI-powered results may contain errors.

Always verify with restaurant staff if you have severe allergies
Dish descriptions and allergen data are provided as a helpful guide, not medical advice
Actual dishes may differ from AI-generated descriptions or web images

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our technology
Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise our systems
Use automated systems to access the service without permission
Resell or commercially exploit our services without authorization

Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Travel Eat and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

User Content

By submitting content (such as feedback or menu photos), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content to improve our services. Menu images may be used to build a public menu database for the benefit of other users.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We provide the App "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
We are not responsible for health issues arising from dietary decisions made using our App
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for purchases (if any)

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Travel Eat and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
